All Hatha Yoga classes incorporate the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of Yoga.

Held on Wednesday and Friday mornings, each class lasts for 90 minutes and is based around a theme taken from one of the Yoga scriptures.

Each session is designed to allow investigation of the theme through asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breath practices), relaxation, and meditation. Breath awareness is incorporated throughout.

Hatha Yoga classes

The yoga sequences are designed to prepare both body and mind, to be able to realise a key posture, and bring stillness to the mind. It does not matter what level you are; everyone works within their own capabilities.

The Wednesday class is slower and gentler, which ideally suits beginners, returners, or those for whom a challenging practice is not needed. The Friday class is for those for who enjoy a more challenging practice and allows students to investigate their own boundaries in a safe, teacher led environment.

All classes are small, with no more than nine students: this keeps everyone safe and allows individual feedback to be given.

The cost for each 90 minute session is £10.00.

Originally, yoga was mainly taught by a teacher in a private setting on a one to one basis.

In modern times, group yoga classes are very popular, but they are not for everyone. If you are interested in a more personalised approach, then a private one-to-one Yoga class is ideal.

These sessions are tailored to students’ specific needs, taking into account general health, specific health considerations, previous history, current lifestyle, and individual goals.

The cost for a 60-minute session is £30.00.

One to One Yoga Classes

Park Yoga

During the summer of both 2022 and 2023, I was honoured to work with Park Yoga to deliver free, outdoor Yoga classes to the local community.

People from different circumstances were able to enjoy energising, life-affirming and relaxing yoga sessions.

The main aim was to provide the benefits of improving wellbeing and mental health, through moving the body and calming the mind.

Many students have asked if it is possible to continue this initiative indoors, throughout the winter months; and I am actively seeking funding to do this, so watch this space!
